School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering of Xi'an Polytechnic University as the Organizer of EPEMR 2025!

The School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Xi'an Polytechnic University has been an independent entity for over 20 years. It currently offers four undergraduate programs: Environmental Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Bioengineering, and Chemical Engineering & Technology. The school has two first-level master's disciplines, Environmental Science & Engineering and Chemical Engineering & Technology, along with two first-class key construction disciplines and two professional master's degree programs in Resource & Environment and Material & Chemical Engineering. There are about 1,000 undergraduate students and more than 330 graduate students enrolled. Since its inception, the school has produced over 7,000 graduates.

The faculty team is strong, well-structured, and has rich teaching experience, consisting of 98 staff members. Among them, 54 are professors and associate professors, including three at the third-tier professor level. There are 79 faculty members with doctoral degrees, 68 master's supervisors, and six doctoral supervisors. The school has flexibly introduced two academicians as external hires. Faculty members have been selected for various prestigious talent programs, including one excellent young talent of the NSFC joint fund, two high-level talent introduction plans of Shaanxi Province, two leading talents in technological innovation of Shaanxi Province, one young scientific star of Shaanxi Province, one outstanding young talent of Shaanxi universities, and one excellent young talent of Shaanxi universities. Additionally, 12 individuals have been supported by youth talent programs at provincial and municipal levels, and three have been recognized among the world's top 2% scientists. The school has also secured one "scientist + engineer" team under the Shaanxi Qin Chuangyuan Program and one youth scientific innovation team in Shaanxi universities.

In the past five years, the school has undertaken two national key R&D projects and sub-projects, 20 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and over 100 provincial and above scientific research projects, receiving more than 30 million yuan in funding. The faculty has published more than 400 high-level papers in top journals such as JACS, PNAS, Adv Mat, Nat Commun, Angew Chem Int Ed, Adv Sci, Appl Catal B-Environ, and Nano Energy, with over 30 ESI (Top 1%) highly cited articles. They have received over 30 scientific and teaching achievement awards, including Shaanxi Province's second prize for scientific achievements and the second prize for teaching achievements. The school has applied for and been granted more than 100 national patents, transferred over 30, and published more than 20 specialized books and textbooks.

The school currently features one provincial demonstration experimental teaching center, one key laboratory for textile chemical auxiliaries in Xi'an, one engineering research center for universities in Shaanxi, one key laboratory for universities in Shaanxi, and an analysis and testing center. It has an independent scientific research and teaching building, with teaching and laboratory space covering more than 6,000 square meters, and nearly 5,000 instruments and pieces of equipment, with a total value exceeding 60 million yuan. The Chemistry Experiment Center was recognized in 2007 as the "Shaanxi Province Chemistry Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center," and the Analysis and Testing Center is a member unit of the "Provincial Chemical Testing Center." In recent years, the school has engaged in industry-university-research cooperation with over 100 domestic and international enterprises and institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University, the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Beijing Kediya Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Shanxi Drum Group Water Company, Shaanxi Nuclear Industry Group Comprehensive Analysis Testing Co., Ltd., Shandong Zhongke Hengyuan Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Xingzhou Textile Technology Co., Ltd., and Henan Xinxing Zhongtian Power Industry Park Development Co., Ltd.
